Earlier today Google announced,in a press conference, that in Summer 2011, they will launch "Google Wallet"
What is Google Wallet? It's a way to pay for goods using your phone. "The Wallet" is an app for the smartphone and will use NFC technology (Near Field Communications). The user will wave the phone over a terminal and "hey presto" transaction complete! Google have also confirmed that they will continue rolling out "Google Offers", which is great news for local business everywhere. At the press conference Google stated that 2011 and beyond will be the age of MoLo - Mobile & Local. So you can understand our excitement at Social Media Buddies, as this is what we do!!
